Terms of use
Last updated October 11, 2026
These terms govern the use of Roamony. By signing in you agree to them. Please read them together with the Privacy notice.
Who runs the app
Roamony is offered free of charge, as a private and non-commercial project, by:
cmdnzAustriaEmail: [email protected]You must be at least 16 years old to use the app.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account or a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that account or address secure; whoever controls it can use your Roamony account.
Use your real name or a name your fellow travellers recognise, and do not create accounts for other people without their consent.
Acceptable use
When you use the app, you agree to:
- post nothing unlawful, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit;
- treat the members of your trips with respect;
- not use the app to send spam or to harm other people or systems;
- not try to bypass the security, the access rules or the usage limits of the app;
- not access the app with automated tools or extract its data, including Google Maps content, in bulk;
- upload only content (text, photos, files) that you have the right to share.
Your content
What you add to a trip stays yours. You allow the operator to store it and to show it to the members of that trip, as far as this is needed to run the app.
A trip's organiser manages the trip: they can change its details and days, remove members and delete the trip with everything in it.
AI suggestions
The AI planner, the local guide and the place summaries are generated automatically by AI models. They can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, for example about opening hours, prices, distances, safety or entry rules.
Treat them as suggestions, not as facts or professional advice. Check what matters with the official sources before you rely on it, especially for bookings, health, safety and travel documents.
The AI only proposes: every plan in the app is decided by the group's votes.
Google Maps content
Maps, place information and routes come from Google Maps Platform and are subject to Google's terms. By using these features you also agree to them.
Availability and changes
The app is offered as it is, free of charge and without a guaranteed availability. Features can change, and the operator may limit their use (for example the number of AI requests) to keep costs under control.
The operator may end the service. In that case you will be told in advance by email or in the app, so that you can download your data.
No warranty, liability
As far as the law allows, the app is provided without any warranty, in particular for the accuracy of places, routes, opening hours and AI suggestions.
The operator is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory statutory provisions. Otherwise, as the service is free of charge, liability is excluded as far as the law permits.
Ending the use
You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account under Account settings. What happens to your data is described in the Privacy notice.
The operator may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where possible, you will be told the reason first.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Austria, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you use the app as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live still apply.
If you use the app as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
The operator may change these terms for good reason, for example when the app or the law changes. You will be told about significant changes in the app before they take effect.
